Sales Manager - Inside Sales

OmniUpdate is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Inside Sales Manager who will oversee the day to day operations of a team of Outbound Sales Representatives. The ideal candidate will motivate, train and evaluate the Sales Representatives and ensure that their responsibilities are performed in a timely and accurate manner with a focus on increasing discovered opportunities, call activity and other Key Performance Indicators. The Sales Manager will report into the VP of Sales & Marketing. This is a full-time position based in our Camarillo offices. This is not a telecommuting position.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Oversee and monitor daily activities of outbound sales reps
  • Work closely with Sales & marketing for building campaigns and providing prospect feedback 
  • Coach and counsel Sales Development Representatives as appropriate
  • Communicate and follow up to ensure representatives are fully informed of all new information related to products, procedures, customer needs and company related issues, changes and actions
  • Recruit, hire, retain, and provide coaching/development to team members
  • Responsible for ensuring the team’s monthly sales lead/opps goals are met
  • Run various reports to monitor operations and productivity of the department
  • Motivate the sales team through effective management of incentive programs
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly goals for team and drive accountability
  • Handle escalated emails/calls
  • Address questions from sales reps
  • Identify, diffuse, and report personnel issues to management
  • Monitor daily work flow and call logs and make and/or recommend process improvements as needed
  • Work with executive management and communicate effectively to Sales Development Representatives

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Ideally 5+ years of professional experience
  • At least 3+ yeas of inside sales at a tech or SaaS company
  • Higher Ed Experience a plus
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills
  • Two to three years of team lead or supervisory experience in an outbound environment
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Working knowledge of standard web technologies (servers, domains, email and ftp)
  • Working knowledge of the web, browsers, and the internet
  • Experience in motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
  • Experience in documenting and improving processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills. Comfortable in a fast paced, stressful environment
  • High level of integrity
