Technical Project Manager

OmniUpdate, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Project Management Office. We need a professional who is inherently focused on customer satisfaction and project success to help our in-house development team transform and adapt college and university websites for management in our web CMS, OU CampusTM . The position is responsible for the effective management of new customer implementations and professional services. This is a full-time position from our Camarillo offices. This is not a telecommuting position.

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Quickly become an expert user of OU Campus
  • Prioritize and direct team members, project schedules and scope of effort. Assign tasks and responsibilities to Project Coordinators and Web Developers
  • Conduct and lead meetings to deliver project progress reports and review the presentations of others as needed
  • Follow up with both the customers and internal stakeholders to ensure project plan is progressing as scheduled
  • Work with Sales team members to define and prepare Statements of Work and project estimates
  • Track and document the status of projects until completed
  • Ensure delivery of the highest quality service by processing and understanding customer technical requirements, needs, and expectations in preparation for project

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 3+ years project/portfolio management experience
  • Ability to work with Marketing, Sales, and Development teams
  • Professional, logical, and highly motivated approaches to work problems often on tight deadlines
  • Proficient in a multi-task environment; can type, email, and present via web and phone utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, enthusiasm, and pride in the work you do
  • Experience managing projects with the following technologies: HTML/CSS, XML/XSL, PHP, ASP, and/or other scripting languages

Desired (but not Required) Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of OU Campus
  • Experience with project management tools; Wrike, Atlassian Jira, or MS Project.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS, XML/XSL, and JavaScript
  • Experience working with a web Content Management Solution such as Sitecore, Crownpeak, Aquia, Ektron etc. 
  • Experience working on website design and implementation for the Higher Education industry
  • Working knowledge of PHP, ASP, and/or other scripting languages
  • PMP certification or trained
  • CSM certification or trained
